Filipinsk president convicted of murder and crimes against humanity. A powerful earthquake has struck outside the Philippines, prompting tsunami warnings for several islands in the region. According to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is being investigated for crimes against humanity, mainly murder, over the thousands of deaths in the war on drugs that took place during his rule. The ICJ's decision was made earlier this week and it comes as no surprise given the widespread criticism of Duterte's government. The President beordrade polisen att slå hårt mot den utbredda narkotikahandeln, or ordered the police to crack down hard on the widespread narcotics trade. The powerful earthquake, which struck outside the Philippines, was followed by a tsunami warning for several islands in the region. According to SVT Nyheter, the US President Donald Trump has announced that he is withdrawing all of the Biden administration's orders. No one was killed directly by the quake but residents were evacuated as a precautionary measure. The earthquake was so powerful that it even caused the Philippine President's seat at the ICC to be removed from the building. See article on SVT News.
