Ukraine stands stronger than ever before after the Russian invasion.  The effects of the hunger crisis on Ukraine are severe, but Russia's war has also had a sharper impact on the country and its people. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claims that the Russian military's invasion has led to an increase in Ukraine's defense forces, according to a speech in the Netherlands. He asks for international aid to meet the "global threat". Russia's war is also noted by the president to have had a sharper impact on Ukraine's population compared to the previous invasion. According to Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksandr Syrskyj, about 59% of Russia's military losses were fatal, while those injured made up around 41%. A supporting number from the think tank CSIS is that approximately 1.2 million Russians have been killed and injured. Oleksandr Syrskyj reports that Ukraine's defense forces have reported the number of Russian military losses this year to be 141,500 dead and injured. Another field is drones. Again in connection with Russia's invasion, Ukrainian President Zelensky claims that Russia's "victory parade" in Moscow was foiled by Ukrainian drones. According to Ukraine, over 33,000 Russian drones were shot down under the month of March, a record since the invasion. However, criticism is also raised about Russia's invasion not taking key strategic locations for Ukraine. Ukrainian President Zelensky claims that he is now "stronger than ever" compared to last year. In the same speech, Russian President Vladimir Putin states that Russia plans seven large-scale attacks per month. See article on SVT News.
