Egypt-Gaza Border Reopens The Palestinian Committee has now approved the opening of border crossing between Egypt and Gaza Strip, a border crossing that was previously closed due to conflicts between Egypt's government and Hamas leadership. The crossing will be opened in Rafah, a city on the Palestinian side in Gaza Capital. According to an official representative from the Palestinian Committee, one can now drive through the crossing without major problems. The crossing has been closed since 2007, when tensions arose between Egypt's government and Hamas leadership. However, it seems that an agreement has been reached between both parties. Sweden’s First Humanitarian Gesture to Cuba Malmö Airport’s Capacity for Aid Medical Supplies, Food & Water – A Steadfast Response Cuban Population Addresses Limited Food Distribution International Partnership Amidst Disaster Response "Sweden has sent an emergency aid package to Cuba following the damage from the tsunami. The assistance consists of 30 tons of medicine, water, and food. The aid will be transported out of Sweden's airport in Malmö by a plane. It marks the first time that Sweden is sending humanitarian aid to Cuba. The Spanish authorities have already taken care of most of the needs of the Cuban population. However, they do not have the means to send portions of food and drinks to the areas with the greatest damage from the tsunami."
