Hamas: Wants to retain ground control in Gaza. The terrorist organization Hamas wants to retain control over security on the ground in Gaza during a potential transitional period, says Mohammed Nazzal, a representative of Hamas, to the news agency Reuters.
When asked whether Hamas will agree to lay down arms, Nazzal gave neither a yes nor no answer, stating that it depends on how circumstances develop. Disarmament of Hamas is part of the second phase of Trump's peace plan.
