Which EU citizen will be the first to suggest that UN forces could be used to secure refugee routes, east for non-whites and US travel for whites in the region?

 

 

The EU condemns attacks on peacekeepers. On Monday, the EU condemned last week's attacks on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon. Several UN soldiers were injured during last week's shelling of the peacekeeping forces' positions. See the article on SVT Nyheter.

 

The deadliest attack on Israel since the ground invasion of Lebanon. Four soldiers were killed when a Hezbollah drone penetrated Israeli air defenses on Sunday and struck a military training camp in Binyamina, south of Haifa in the north of the country. Seven soldiers and another 50 other people are reported to be injured. Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it first fired rockets that "tricked" Israeli air defense and paved the way for drones.

The US military presence in the Middle East has increased continuously since Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. These include strengthened American air defenses and more warships and aircraft carriers in the Mediterranean. Watch the feature on SVT News.

 

Netanyahu: Israel continues the attacks – throughout Lebanon. Around 20 people were killed in Israeli strikes on Aitou in northern Lebanon on Monday. The attacks will continue throughout the country, according to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. "There is no safe place anymore in Lebanon," Simone Casabianca-Aeschlimann of the International Red Cross told Sky News.

In various parts of Gaza, more than 40 people have been killed and many injured in several Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours. On Monday evening, at least eight people were killed in an attack on Gaza City, Reuters reports. "The bombings are unprecedented. There is no water, no food and no medicines, and under ongoing shelling, forced evacuations of people are being made," Khamis Elessi, a professor of medicine in Gaza City, described the situation to the BBC.
