Pope Francis has died. The Pope had an active last week. On Thursday, he visited Regina Coeli prison to show solidarity with prisoners. On Saturday, he then showed up unannounced to St. Peter's Basilica to pray, and met with U.S. Vice President JD Vance. From the balcony of the church, he wished a happy Easter on Easter Sunday.
Outside St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, many believers have already gathered, and there are likely to be more as there are many in Rome due to holidays and Easter.
