Thermal power plants knocked out in Ukraine. Last night's massive Russian attacks on Ukraine and its energy system have left all state-run thermal power plants completely out of operation, reports Ukrainska Pravda.In a statement from the state-owned electricity company Centrenergo, the attacks are described as the most massive against the country's thermal power plants since the war began. Russian attacks hit the power supply. Russia has launched extensive attacks on Ukraine's power supply, according to Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Hryntjuk on the night leading up to Saturday.The attacks have caused power outages in several regions of the country. "The enemy is once again attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure on a massive scale. Because of this, emergency power outages have been implemented in a number of regions in Ukraine," Hryntjuk writes on social media.In recent months, Russia has escalated its attacks on energy infrastructure in Ukraine, causing damage to natural gas facilities, which are used for heating buildings.
