Which American right-winger will be the first to admit it would have been easier if the Trump administration had spent some time bringing down gas prices for American voters, since most people have probably filled up and noticed the cost?

Local ceasefire around the famine-hit city. According to Washington, a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine will start in the area around the occupied city of Oleshky in southern Ukraine at the end of October. The reports say that both sides have agreed to a temporary halt in fighting so that humanitarian aid can reach Oleshky, which lies in the so-called 'death zone' along the front line. Residents who have been trapped in the city may also be evacuated through a 'safe corridor.'

According to the White House, First Lady Melania Trump and her staff have been in direct contact with leaders from both sides during efforts to make the ceasefire happen. See the report on SVT News.

Ukraine: Ongoing issues with Starshield. Ukraine reports continued limitations in the military version of Starlink – Starshield – despite US President Donald Trump saying that access has been restored.

"There were still signal interruptions this morning," a source within the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense told reporters.

"There is currently no confirmation that the restrictions have been lifted."

Earlier this week, sources said that Elon Musk had decided to limit Starshield, which hampered Ukraine's defense capabilities. Musk then stated that all restrictions were due to decisions made by the US military and President Trump. See the report on SVT News.
