Zelenskyj: Tripartite meeting will take place as planned. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj states on Monday that the US-led peace talks between Russia and Ukraine will not be canceled due to the conflict in the Middle East, Reuters reports. The meeting was scheduled to be held this week. "Due to the ongoing hostilities, we cannot confirm that the meeting will take place in Abu Dhabi, but no one has canceled the meeting," Zelenskyj announces according to Reuters.
Instead of the United Arab Emirates, the Ukrainian president mentions Turkey or Switzerland as possible host countries.
Zelenskyj has previously said that he hopes the meeting will open the way for direct talks between the country's three leaders. See the article on SVT News.
