Certain electronics are exempt from customs duties. On Friday, the U.S. Federal Customs and Border Protection announced that it is excluding certain electronics products from the 125 percent tariffs on China, and the 10 percent tariffs imposed on other countries. This is reported by Bloomberg.
Among the goods that are excluded are smartphones, computers and other electronics that are currently largely not manufactured in the United States.
There is no information on how long the exemptions will apply. See the article on SVT News and the feature on SVT Rapport.
