US President Donald Trump has decided to freeze all financial aid to South Africa. The decision comes after accusations that the South African government discriminates against white minorities by seizing farmland from white farmers without compensation.
Trump signed an executive order offering asylum in the United States to Afrikaans-speaking white South Africans who he believes are subjected to "state-sanctioned racial discrimination." The South African government recently passed the "Expropriation Act 13", a law that allows for the confiscation of privately owned land without compensation. Watch the feature on SVT News.
Here, the thieves steal a gold toilet from Churchill's childhood home – takes five minutes. An 18-karat gold toilet was stolen from Blenheim Palace in the United Kingdom, known as Winston Churchill's birthplace. The artwork, titled America, was created by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan. The theft took place at Blenheim Palace, Churchill's family home in the south of England – a popular tourist attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The stolen toilet weighed 98 kilos and was insured to a value of $6 million, equivalent to about SEK 60 million. According to prosecutors, it is believed to have broken down into smaller pieces and sold like gold. Watch the feature on SVT News.
