Massive military exercise in Venezuela after increased American presence. Venezuela is preparing a massive mobilization with military exercises on land, in the air, and at sea in response to the U.S. moving warships and troops to the Caribbean Sea. The mobilization is a response to the 'imperialist threat' posed by the U.S. following their increased presence in the region, according to the country's Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López, as reported by CNN. In addition to the regular military, which consists of 123,000 members, the Bolivarian militia will participate – a paramilitary organization of volunteers created by former President Hugo Chávez and now following President Nicolás Maduro.

COP30. Protesters with batons entered the venue where the COP30 climate summit is being held on Tuesday evening local time, in Belém, Brazil, and got into scuffles with security guards at the entrance, reports Reuters.
