Iryna Zarutska fled Ukraine – was stabbed to death on a tram in the United States. 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska fled Ukraine with her family in the summer of 2022 and ended up in the city of Charlotte, North Carolina.
On Friday, August 22, Zarutska jumped on the tram home after a shift at the pizzeria she worked at. On the seat behind her sat Decarlos Brown.
