Russia's war in Ukraine theme

Does the Russian war machine have nothing to refuel its vehicles with?

After the drone attacks – ship chaos as the shadow fleet crowds. The number of ships from the Russian shadow fleet in the Gulf of Finland is higher than ever. The ships are stuck in a small area off an Estonian island. Now they are waiting for the go-ahead following the Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia’s oil ports.

The Ukrainian attacks on Primorsk, Ust-Luga, Vyborg, and Kirishi in Leningrad Oblast are costly for Russia. The ports around the Gulf of Finland have burned, and the production and export of Russian oil have been put on hold. Watch the feature on SVT News.

Ukraine is taking back land: "Have stopped the Russian movement" Extensive drone attacks from both Russia and Ukraine continued over the weekend. At the same time, Ukraine has the best position on the front in ten months, according to President Zelensky. – It is probably true that this is a good position for Ukraine, where after more than four years of intensive fighting, the Russian movement in the east has been stopped and territory is being regained, says Lieutenant Colonel Johan Huovinen. Johan Huovinen sees no clear signs of actual attempts from the Russian side to carry out any major offensive. He watches for, for example, concentrations of soldiers or combat vehicles in certain locations or increased pre-combat actions through bombings or artillery fire. – As always before summer, I look to see if there are any indications of larger mobilizations from any side.

Ukraine has over the past month intensified attacks on Russian oil ports, and Huovinen expects more such attacks in the future. See the segment on SVT News.
