Looks like Russia's denazification of Ukraine is causing property prices near ski resorts to go up.
Here, Ukrainians go skiing. Bukovel is like any other European ski resort, with long well-groomed slopes and plenty of restaurants and bars. Every year, around 3 million tourists come here, and the number has not decreased during the full-scale invasion, thanks to the growing number of foreign tourists.
But right now, many come here from Kyiv to escape their cold apartments in the capital, where there are still serious problems with electricity supply. – We are here to get away from the situation at home for a while. We lack electricity, water, and heating in our apartment in Kyiv; we are trying to make something positive out of this situation, says 28-year-old Katya, who is in Bukovel with her family.
