Kremlin rejects Christmas ceasefire proposal. A proposal for a ceasefire during Christmas and New Year has been rejected by Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced, according to Ukrainska Pravda.
According to Ukrainska Pravda, Germany's Chancellor Friedrich Merz suggested a ceasefire during Christmas in the hope that the Russian authorities still "have some remnants of humanity left and can leave the people in peace for a few days."
