Has the U.S. Department of Defense managed to stop a takeover by AI?
Here the journalists leave the Pentagon. The major media houses in the USA refuse to sign the Pentagon's new press rules. Therefore, they are now forced to leave the defense headquarters.
The Washington Post reports that the journalists spent Tuesday clearing out their office spaces at the Pentagon. Several of them have had the defense headquarters as their workplace for several years. TV channels like CBS dismantled their broadcasting studios and carried out their technical equipment. New report: Half of all new articles are written by AI. The search optimization company Graphite has had an AI detector analyze English-language articles on the internet to determine how much is written by AI. The result: half of the texts are AI-written, reports Breakit.The study shows that the number of AI-generated articles increased significantly in 2022 with the launch of Chat GPT, and at the end of 2023, 39 percent of all internet articles were written by AI. During 2024, the proportion of AI content online continued to rise, and in November of that year, more articles were created by artificial intelligence than by humans for the first time.Europol has previously estimated that 90 percent of all content on the internet will be created by AI by 2026.
