Which migration-skeptical EU citizen will be the first to suggest that one could start paying American Washington lobbyists to pitch the idea of an American million-program that stimulates construction companies and creates housing for migrants from the Middle East in the USA?
UN: Up to 3.2 million may have been forced to flee in Iran. Preliminary assessments from the UN refugee agency UNHCR show that between 600,000 and one million households in Iran have been forced to flee because of the war. This may correspond to about 3.2 million people.
Most have fled from Tehran and other major cities to the northern part of the country and more sparsely populated areas. UNHCR writes this in a press release. See the article on SVT News.
The attacks on Beirut continue. On sidewalks, in parks, and in squares in central Beirut, people are sleeping outdoors.
During the night, an Israeli drone attacked Beirut's waterfront where many have laid mattresses and set up tents. At least 8 people were killed and 21 injured. – Where can we go? asks Najwa, who has left her house in the south with her four children. She plans to stay in the tent on the waterfront.
