Extra EU meeting on Ebola. The EU countries' health ministers will hold an extraordinary meeting on the Ebola situation. The ministerial meeting will be held online on Friday to "discuss future preparedness and cooperation measures," according to the current presidency of the Council of Ministers, Cyprus, on X.
The meeting comes after, among others, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has called for tightened entry controls due to the outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The health ministers are also expected to discuss the situation at their next regular ministerial meeting in Luxembourg in two weeks. See the article on SVT News.
