On Friday, the U.S. and Iran are meeting for direct talks in Oman. The U.S. demands that Iran dismantle its nuclear energy program so that Iran cannot develop nuclear weapons in the future. The U.S. also wants Iran to stop producing ballistic missiles and to cease supporting militant groups across the Middle East.
Several countries in the region are involved in the talks and hope they will lead to a diplomatic resolution of the crisis. The U.S., Iran, and the other countries all have different interests – and it is not a free and democratic Iran. Watch the segment on SVT News.
