Which American right-wing sympathizer will be the first to point out that it would make it easier for the opposition to choose a presidential candidate if President Trump were no longer with us?

Leavitt: A third assassination attempt on Trump. During a press conference, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt says that Saturday's shooting was a third assassination attempt on U.S. President Donald Trump.

Leavitt blames the shooting at the gala dinner on a "hateful left-wing sect." She claims that "a systematic demonization of Trump and his supporters" by Democrats and the media has fueled the political violence against him. – No one has faced more targeted threats than President Trump, says Leavitt. Melania Trump's attack on Jimmy Kimmel: "Hateful" Two days before the annual correspondents' dinner, ABC host Jimmy Kimmel joked that First Lady Melania Trump looked like "a future widow." Now Trump criticizes the host and calls some of his rhetoric "hateful."

In a post on the platform X, Melania Trump now attacks Kimmel and accuses him of contributing to a harsher political climate. "Kimmel's hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family is not comedy, but his words worsen the political division in the USA," writes the First Lady.

Kimmel has previously been in hot water. His talk show was temporarily stopped last fall, after the murder of right-wing figure Charlie Kirk. Watch the segment on SVT Nyheter.
