Many dead in Israeli attack on school building. At least 28 people have died after an Israeli attack on a school in Gaza, the news agencies report. A few hours later, the Israeli military announced that the building was being attacked to get at terrorists.
"The control center, which was embedded in a facility that previously served as a school, is used by terrorists to plan and carry out attacks against IDF troops and Israel," the military said, according to the BBC.

"They are afraid that Lebanon will become a new Gaza" SVT's foreign reporter Gilda Hamidi-Nia and photographer Antonia Sehlstedt are where one of the attacks on central Beirut took place. "This is in the heart of Beirut, it's in the center of Beirut. It is in the middle of a residential area with restaurants and here is a gas station. It's chaotic with ambulances, rescue personnel and military on site," says Gilda Hamidi-Nia.
According to Lebanon's Ministry of Health, 22 people have been killed and 117 people injured in the attack. Now there are warnings of new Israeli attacks.
