Israel is forcing 40,000 Palestinians in the West Bank to flee. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Sunday that 40,000 Palestinians in the West Bank had been "evacuated" from three refugee camps in Jenin, Tulkarem and Nur Shams. According to Katz, the three camps are now empty and will be occupied by Israel's military in the coming year.
On Sunday, Palestinian authorities accused Israel of trying to consolidate a policy of forced displacement in the West Bank. The authorities called for international intervention to curb what they described as Israel's "uncontrolled aggression" and "to force Israel to stop its attack on our people and their fundamental right to remain on their land."
