Which property-owning Russian will be the first to try to find out where Ukraine has placed its defense lines in Kursk, since the Russian army's strategy of conquest does not seem to leave much of the real estate behind?
Zelenskyy: Russian "counteroffensive measures" in Kursk. Russia has launched some form of counteroffensive in the Russian border region of Kursk, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, writes Reuters. The Ukrainian president says that the Russian action is expected and that it is "in line with the Ukrainian plan."
The American think tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW) writes in a report on the developments in recent days that Russia has "launched several counterattacks" and then regained control of some smaller villages in the western part of the area. "The size, scope and prospects of the Russian counterattacks in Kursk Oblast on September 11 are unclear and the situation remains fluid," it writes. See the article on SVT Nyheter.
Zelenskyy: Russia has launched a military counteroffensive in the Kursk region. Russia has now begun in earnest the attempt to retake the area in the Kurtsk region that was invaded by Ukrainian forces in early August.
