Man nearly sucked out of airplane window. The man has been taken to the hospital with scrapes caused by friction as well as injuries to his neck and shoulders, but is otherwise reportedly in good health, according to authorities.
According to The Aviation Herald, it involves a Boeing 737-800 plane. In a photo published by the site, the window glass can be seen shattered. Only shards surround the window opening, and in front hang hoses from the oxygen masks.
A passenger tells Radio Thessaloniki that the oxygen masks were released and that it was preceded by a loud noise, like a tire exploding. – One passenger's head and shoulders were outside the window.
