Major European countries support Arab plan for Gaza. The foreign ministers of France, Germany and Britain said on Saturday that they support the plan for the reconstruction of Gaza drawn up by Egypt and adopted by several Arab countries, Reuters reports. It would cost $53 billion to implement and avoid the expulsion of Palestinians from the area.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also supports the Arab countries' plan.
The U.S. State Department, on the other hand, said the other day that the Egyptian plan does not live up to expectations. Israel has also rejected the proposal. See the article on SVT Nyheter.
