The right marched in France. Thousands participated in the memorial march for the murdered right-wing activist Quentin Deranque.
Parts of the sequence of events, according to the French prosecutor: MEP Rima Hassan from the left-wing party LFI was giving a lecture at the university Sciences Po in central Lyon on the evening of February 12. Outside, a group of counter-demonstrators from the immigration-critical and feminist network Nemesis gathered. The group consisted of women who wanted to protect France from men's violence.
At 6 PM, the Nemesis group was attacked by around 20 masked individuals. Quentin Deranque was assaulted by at least six people, and while lying on the ground, he received several kicks to the head.
