Car has driven into crowd in Munich. At least 30 people have been injured, including several children, after being hit during a demonstration in Munich, Germany. "There were, among others, childminders and preschool teachers who demonstrated and brought their own children. The pictures of the remains of a pram here on the street are of course difficult to take in, says SVT's Europe correspondent Christoffer Wendick.
The driver, a 24-year-old asylum-seeking man from Afghanistan, was arrested at the scene. He is already known to the police for drug offences. The incident occurs at the same time as Germany is in an election campaign where immigration is the hottest issue.
