Secret service: "Had no idea" that there was a man with a gun on the roof. Ronald Rowe, acting head of the Secret Service, said local police said there was a man with a gun on a roof seconds before the shooting at Donald Trump, but that the radio message did not reach the Secret Service. "We had no idea he had a weapon," Rowe said.

The Secret Service knew that local police were investigating alarms about a person who had behaved suspiciously. Rowe also stated that the roof had been identified as a risk element, but that "tasks were divided", and that the Secret Service assumed that local police had secured the roof. "We should have had a much better view of the roof," Rowe said. See the article on SVT Nyheter.
