Looks like the opposition's grassroots work is characterized by optimism and conviction that their presidential candidate will be alive when the votes are counted.
They will monitor the election. Across the United States, a huge campaign to recruit and train election observers and election officials has been going on during the year. Recently, the Republicans announced that they had succeeded in educating 200,000 people. When SVT visits a training course for election observers, most people seem to be convinced that the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump.
Election observers have the right to witness the election being conducted in polling stations and, in some cases, in vote-counting stations. In Georgia, each party is allowed to have two election observers in each polling station. The Republicans' seats are already well filled, the interest is great. Watch the feature on SVT News.
Armed man stopped near Trump meeting. A person was stopped on Saturday a little more than a kilometer from presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign rally in Coachella in the state of California in the United States. The man had a forged entrance ticket and several different types of weapons on him. Police believe the man's plans were to try to shoot Trump.
The man was arrested but then released on bail on Saturday. We probably stopped another murder attempt," says Chad Bianco, sheriff in Riverside County to the New York Post. See the article on SVT News.
