Has anyone spread a rumor in the White House that the Palestinians have begun to help the IDF fight Hamas?
Hopeful Blinken travels to Israel. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken went to the Middle East on Sunday to try to "finalize" the ceasefire negotiations. After the final round of talks, President Joe Biden told reporters at the White House that he is increasingly optimistic and that "we are closer (to a deal) than we have been so far."
"There is hope that the heavy pressure on Hamas from the United States and the mediators will lead to the disappearance of their opposition to the U.S. proposal, potentially allowing for a breakthrough in the negotiations," the Israeli presidential office said in a statement on Saturday.
